Kitchen Makeover

Long time no blog!

If you've been wondering where I've been, the answer to your burning question is that I've been re-paitning my entire kitchen and laundry room in my new house (including refinishing the cabinets), otherwise prepping the house for move-in, moving, and starting a new job.

It's been a time, lemme tell ya.

Dino is doing great, if he might be a little bored during his break while I do this whole major-life-change thing. I'm riding him as much as I can, which sadly isn't much right now, and he's still healing well and hanging out with his buddies.

In the meantime, let me show you my kitchen.

When we bought our house, everything was pretty much move-in ready, but the place looked like an old lady lived there. I had big plans and $800 worth of paint invested in changing that! The kitchen and laundry room were the first rooms I completed, and you guys, the change is astounding!

Here's what we started with:

And here's the kitchen after its makeover! Paint, new hardware, and appliances totally transformed it!

I am a little bit obsessed with how this room came out. I've been standing in the middle of it just gazing at its beauty, amazed at how much it changed! I'm still on the search for a light fixture to replace the one we removed from over the sink area, but other than that, this room is DONE and it is BEAUTIFUL and I am so so happy!

And the laundry room, while much simpler, came out pretty darn well too. Before:

And after:

Having these two rooms done is really helping motivate me to finish the rest of the house. I can't wait to share the rest of the transformative magic with you all!
