Dream Farm Friday: Featured Listing

A modest farm for a first-time homeowner!
Now that I've inundated you all with profiles of gorgeous homes with top-of-the-line equestrian facilities, let's take a look at something a little more... attainable.

This adorable little equestrian center is situated on just 5 acres in rural Walnutport, PA and is listed at the bargain-basement price of $345,000 - a figure that most of us can wrap our heads around. For the first-time buyer looking for an easy-to-manage farm that fits their budget, this little place is the perfect solution.

It may be small, but it's got everything you need to get your own horse business up and running, including an indoor arena!

The barn holds 24 stalls along with a wash stall and tack room, and if you're careful about rotating your turnouts, the 8 fenced pastures can provide enough necessary time outside for all of your horses. It may not be fancy, but it's quaint, safe, and functional!

The attached indoor arena provides a place to ride and train that is protected from the elements, which is an essential feature in a Pennsylvania horse farm, especially one that is the site of a boarding or training business. You can continue teaching and training all through the winter here! And I'll say it again - you are NOT going to find a property with an indoor like this at this price in this part of the state. This place is a STEAL.

In addition to the horse facilities (the likes of which are UNHEARD OF at this price), there's an absolutely adorable 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom farmhouse built in 1900. Updates to this charming little historic home can be made while you live in it, which is a huge boon for those looking to buy a farm on a budget.

As always, for more information on this or any other available horse properties, hop on over to www.cshorseproperties.com or contact me via the form on the left of the blog!

  6. Soooo tempting, considering my house in Ghettoville Denver, CO would probably sell for that right now, and it's just a simple house on a pretty small lot. Damn you Colorado housing market!!!
