The Trigger Has Been Pulled

More awesome to come with #LAE?!
Yesterday I dropped an envelope containing my registration form and payment for the Laine Ashker clinic in April. I made the decision based on a combination of cost (nearly half as expensive as Bobby Costello for 2 days of instruction), location (only a little over an hour away), and the fact that a very lovely acquaintance of mine is also going, and I'll be able to ship down with her and split travel costs.

So, I pulled the trigger on that one.

I am equal parts excited for the experience, and worried that Dino and I will not be up to snuff by the time the clinic rolls around.

We have 2 months to get back in fighting shape, but what isn't covered by snow around here is deep, wet, sloppy mud, which makes riding difficult. Thankfully I do have access to the indoor a day or two each week, but I'm a bit apprehensive about not being able to really ride at home on a daily basis.

I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to motivate myself to exercise out of the saddle, and at the very least I will keep on riding Dino up and down and up and down the hills at the farm.

Here goes nothin'!

  1. omggggg i can't wait!!!!! you guys are gonna be awesome, and if the stars align hopefully i'll be there spectating and cheering you on!!

  3. I've heard such awesome things about her clinics!! Have fun!

  4. Well the good news is, even if you guys aren't at your best, clinics are for learning, not being perfect.

  5. This will be awesome for you!! Even if you aren't up to perfect, I know you guys will represent yourselves (and whatever problems you may have) well and honestly, and it will be super productive! I AM SO EXCITED TO READ ABOUT IT!
