The Owls Approve Blog Hop: Wish We Could

Beka gets us thinking again...

Let's pretend that financial restrictions don't exist and logistics isn't a nightmare. If you could do anything with your Ponykins, what would you do?

The great thing about Dino is that he is one of the most versatile, game horses I've ever had the pleasure of riding in my life. If we had unlimited resources, we could do SO MANY FUN THINGS.

I would absolutely LOVE to work cows on him. He's so smart, curious, brave, and just a little bit aggressive. I think once he figured out that he could move and control the cows, Dino would be an awesome cow pony!

moo.
I'd love to go foxhunting on my pony! Dino loves hitting the trail, is great around dogs, and his 'happy place' is out on XC. I can't imagine anything he'd love more than hunting.

Camping with my pony is ANOTHER fun thing I'd like to try! Again, great trail pony, and he is so chill about things that I think he'd be totally fine on a picket line or in a temporary paddock for the night. And how cool would it be to wake up in the woods to the sight and sound of your pony shuffling around?!

we could do this.

My most "out there" dream for us is probably to spend the winter down south training and competing. There is no way in heaven or on earth that I could ever afford to do that, but it's a nice thought.

Imagine this is in Aiken, Southern Pines, or Florida...

  2. Whee going south for winter! The concentration of brilliant horse people down south in the winter is something I'm looking forward to taking advantage of on my trip this month. I wish my horse could come with me, though. Such a stretch goal, though. Not going to happen. :(

  3. If you came down south, you could hang out with me and the cripple! And as close as I live to Aiken, I still can't afford to train there.

The camping is a great idea!
